Individual Psychotherapy

Your decision can heal and transform. You will sometimes experience a wide variety of intense emotions from sadness to joy. Your reward can be the discovery of a more alive and vibrant self.

 

Treatment Philosophy

 

  • Past and present relationships, combined with life events, form a context to understand self. Becoming conscious of context provides a gateway into healing and change.
  • The therapist/patient relationship offers a safe and nurturing context, which will enable healing.
  • Empathy, a way to enter into your point of view, is central to this process.
  • A safe and empathetic setting will foster discovery, insight will emerge, and you will discover your questions as well as their answers.

 

What will you have to do?

  • Accept the responsibility of making a serious commitment to sometimes difficult work during the therapeutic process.
  • Agree to meet at least once a week for 50 or 75 minutes.
  • Allow this process to unfold without concern for how long this will take. You will know when you have finished.
